I have been an intern for just one month in the summer of 2017. I was very curious about Aquaponics and at Riverfood I explored the details. I worked on helping Linda out with building several systems but mainly offered some helping hands for a broad scale of tasks. Furthermore, I grew several seeds and beans for in the systems.

I experienced Linda as very open and warm. I thank her a lot for teaching me the principles of growing in aquaponics systems.

Team 2016
Marc de Groot - Plant Expert and Financial Manager

By focussing on innovation of aquaponics I hope that urban farming will gain more attention and that more and more cities will produce their food in an energy neutral way. This type of urban farming would be an improvement in food production in both developed as well as developing countries.

Rob Grotenbreg - IT, Technology and Innovation Manager

By use of modern technology I would like to make food production more effective and less energy demanding. As a result I hope that our food production will have less impact on nature.
